Franchise Disclosure Document
Franchising is regulated by the Federal Trade Commission and the document contains information about the roles of both parties involved in the franchise – the franchisor and the franchisee- and is designed to enable the potential franchisee to make an honest and informed decision about their investment into the business. Our FDD specifically has 110 pages and the actual agreement form starts on page 47.
Yes, a total of 21 days is required. Once you receive the document, it is required that we receive acknowledgment signatures within 24 hours of receiving it. You then have 14 days to review it.
Yes, very few changes will be made to the document. If you require an amendment, it is up to our team to approve and amend the changes. Once the document has been reviewed and terms are met, the franchise agreement is written with territory specifics. You then have 7 more days to review before closing the deal.
We recommend August or when schools start the 1st semester. Should you start during the 2nd semester, we would refer to that as a soft launch.
Once a franchise has been awarded, it usually takes approximately 10 weeks. You must begin business within 120 days after signing the Franchise Agreement unless we give you a written extension. *Note: We conduct franchise training at our Corporate Headquarters in Richardson, TX USA. Your training will last 1-2 weeks and include a comprehensive review of our business strategy, marketing plan, programs, supplies, technology resources and more.
Yes. We require a new Franchisee to operate their territory for a minimum of 6 months, after which time they can open additional territories with a discounted Franchise Fee.
A territory is based on student enrollment of 30K-40K. This allows the growth of up to 12 running vans with the potential of transporting 300 – 400 students.
