Why Do People Consider Buying A Franchise?

What is Franchising?

Recently I attended a show hosted by The Great American Franchise Expo in Stafford, Texas. According to their website, The Great American Franchise Expo is “a multi-platform franchise trade show that connects hundreds of franchise businesses with potential owners.” Exhibitors represent a wide variety of recognized franchise companies. Further, “attending these expos provides potential franchisees with the opportunity to network with leading industry executives and franchise developers who will share proven strategies that help create opportunities for entrepreneurs to own their own business and boost income.”

But what is franchising? According to Franchising Direct, “franchising is a form of marketing and distribution in which the owner of a business system (the franchisor) grants to an individual or group of individuals (the franchisee) the right to run a business selling a product or providing a service using the franchisor’s business system.”

Franchising is different from other types of businesses because you are buying into a proven business model. A franchise is more straightforward to launch than going into business on your own because you don’t have to “reinvent the wheel”; the wheel is already built! When buying into a franchise, the groundwork already exists. You just “plug yourself into” an existing model that puts you on the road to success.

Does this mean that owning a franchise is easy? Well, not exactly. You still need to find clients, build, and run the business.

Franchisees that have bought into the Taxi Mom business appreciate being able to get up and running in a short amount of time. With a Taxi Mom Franchise, the technology is already there. We have a proven business model, technology, and state-of-the-art mobile application. Although founded in 2019, our franchise model is based on seventeen years of experience in the business, going back to 2004 when I bought my first van. Every new franchisee receives the benefit of that experience through training, mentoring, and ongoing support.

Although we have only been around for two years, the Taxi Mom Franchise is an “emerging brand.” This can be advantageous for a new franchisee: as part of a new and growing company, Taxi Mom franchisees have access to the owner. They can give feedback and help to create new policies. We are all learning together and improving the business as we go! In some of the older, more established franchises, new owners do not have that flexibility. You may buy into a proven business model, but you don’t have much “wiggle room” when it comes to applying your own ideas. If you are interested in learning more about our opportunity, please complete the form below, or contact us at info@taximomfranchise.com
